Live Latin music plays here on Fridays and Saturdays from six thirty. That is the whole announcement, and it is on the site in four places, because it is the single fact that changes what a Friday night in this room is like.
A small dining room giving up floor space to a guitarist and a dancer is not an obvious business decision. The stage sits by the window where two more tables would fit. We keep it there because recorded music is furniture: it fills a silence and nobody looks up. A guitarist two metres away is an event, and the room reorganises itself around one.
It changes the way people eat, too. Tables order in longer waves on a music night, sit further into the evening and share more of what they ordered. The kitchen can tell which night it is without being told.
Come at six thirty if you want a table before it starts, or later if you would rather walk into the middle of it. The bar is first come, first served either way, and there is usually a stool.
